Most people who read the title of this book think this book is about leadership. It’s not. This book is about an emotive God who is leading a nation of His children out of a terrible situation.

It’s about a loving God who is not looking for slaves but is leading His children. Unfortunately, it takes 40 years for them to learn that all he wants from them is a relationship.

This book is about a journey, not the hardships or the miracles. Moses himself has to learn that unless he’s willing to be a child, he cannot enter the Promised Land. The journey is not about the God who is waiting for them to make mistakes, but rather about the God who is loving and wants to serve them. He wants them to be children, totally dependant on Him to be God.
