Cebile Makenete (née Mabuza) was born in Manzini, Kingdom of eSwatini, to the late Harry Joshua Mabuza and his wife, Joyce (née Nkosi). She has endured deep pain, betrayal, and abuse within a marriage entangled in corruption and deception — a system reminiscent of the Kennedy dynasty’s scandals. The powerful Makenete clan of Lesotho’s royal dynasty sought to silence her through schemes likened to those surrounding Princess Diana. Yet Cebile, daughter of a humble and God-fearing diplomat who served Swaziland with integrity, stood firm in faith. Her life testifies to God’s promise that He never forsakes the children of the righteous and delivers them from oppression and captivity.
Having grown up in Bethany village, surrounded by her father’s love and God’s presence, Cebile’s journey from pain to purpose is a story of divine preservation and triumph. Here’s to Bethany Village going global.
